House of character lying near the border between the departements of the Lot -et-Garonne and the Gers, between Aquitaine and Gascony, in the 25-acre grounds of Poudenas castle (13th-17th centuries), with private non-overlooked swimming pool, favouring rest and relaxation, Jean et Alix de Nadaillac are happy to welcome you to “The Black Prince’s Bastion”, a country gîte adapted for your comfort with an eye to quality and authenticity.
To provide you with the best opportunity to discover the richness of the soil of South-West France from and historic locality which was used in 1376 as a fortified base by Edward of Woodstock, known as the Black Prince. Private access is directly through the grounds, planted from the 17th century with rare tree species .
Living space 350 square metres on two floors, opening eastwards towards the castle esplanade and the former chapel which later became the village church, and westwards towards a large private garden which contains the swimming-pool ;
Accommodation: Five bedrooms including two suites, five bathrooms with wc, sleeping twelve comfortably . The ground floor and the “queen Margot” suite on the same level are accessible to persons with limited mobility .

_ The third, known as “Edward’s room”, with a large double bed (160x200cm / 5’3”x 6’6”), featuring a large bathroom with bath, shower,wash basin and wc .

_ the “Henri IV” suite comprises a bedroom with large double bed (160x200cm / 5’3”x 6’6”), another bedroom with a single bed and a bathroom complete with wc, bath and shower.
